At the Lily Mountain Trailhead on Hwy 7 south of Estes Park. The trail soon lost us and we went up the east face following our way up animal trails and navigating around rocks and downed trees. About 500 ft above the road I saw a vertical rock wall about another 300 ft up that would require some serious rock climbing and also the clouds were building up for a storm. so we hiked back down.
We found a rocky ledge and rested her and Carly took this Photo.
Harrison was developing a headache. Liam fashioned his own trekking poles from two sticks he found. The next time up he took up throwing rocks.
We returned to the trail head and then hiked up the road to the lake. I was challenged by a local resident.
Fuzzworth: He looks tasty.
